4 Days 3 nights orangutan Tour liveaboard in Tanjung Puting national park, make you feel different from your daily activity that you can make it happen. orangutan tour Houseboat Klotok stay overnight on the boat, during the day trek to the jungle and see the Orangutans and some other animals such as probosci’s monkeys who stand on the tree. feel the fresh air every morning and the sound of the proboscis monkey will wake you up in the morning. DAY 01:

AIRPORT/HOTEL –HARBOR – SPOTTING WILDLIFE – TANJUNG HARAPAN CAMP – PROBOSCIS MONKEY — NIGHT TREKKING – KLOTOK ( L, D )

Experience the ultimate Borneo Orangutan Tour Liveaboard, starting with a pickup from the airport by our friendly guide or driver. Enjoy a quick transfer to the harbor, where you’ll meet the crew before embarking on an adventure into Tanjung Puting National Park via the Sungai Sekonyer River.

Spot wildlife from the comfort of your boat, indulging in a delicious lunch served onboard as you cruise for about two hours to reach Tanjung Harapan, the first camp. Witness orangutans during the 15:00 feeding time after a short walk from the boat. Then, continue your exploration to catch sight of proboscis monkeys hanging around in the afternoon.

As dusk falls, embark on an optional night trek at Pondok Ambung for a chance to see glowing mushrooms, nightingale birds, tarantulas, and centipedes. This part is optional for those with phobias or fears of certain animals.

Enjoy a delightful dinner onboard, and let our crew set up your cozy bed with a mosquito net and blanket. Wake up naturally to the sounds of nature and start your day with a cup of coffee, immersing yourself in the beauty of Borneo’s wilderness.

DAY 02 :

HOUSEBOAT – PONDOK AMBUNG – CAMP LEAKEY – HOUSEBOAT. (B, L, D)

After a hearty breakfast, embark on a short trek at Pondok Ambung or Pondok Tanggui, where you’ll have the chance to spot more wildlife in their natural habitat.

Upon returning to the Klotok, set sail towards the legendary Camp Leakey. This camp holds historical significance as the site of the first systematic orangutan research in the 1970s, an ongoing endeavor to this day. Enjoy a delicious lunch prepared by our onboard cook as you journey towards Camp Leakey.

Arriving at Camp Leakey, the feeding session commences at 14:00 PM, accessible via a 40-minute trek from the jetty to the feeding platform. Here, you might encounter wild orangutans up close, offering an incredible opportunity for wildlife photography. Remember to maintain a safe distance from the orangutans for your safety and theirs.

Enjoy free time in the evening to relax and soak in the natural beauty surrounding you.

Cap off the day with a delightful dinner served onboard, followed by a peaceful overnight stay on the boat, lulled to sleep by the gentle sounds of the rainforest.

AY 03 :

HOUSEBOAT – PONDOK TANGGUI CAMP – PESALAT – NIPAH PALM AREA – HOUSEBOAT.(B,L,D)

After breakfast, Klotok will proceed to the jetty of Pondok Tanggui Camp. From the jetty, it takes around 30 minutes to trek to the feeding platform. The feeding time in Pondok Tanggui begins at 09:00 AM. From Pondok Tanggui, Klotok will cruise to Pesalat Lunch will be served on board.

Klotok will take you to the jetty of Pesalat’s reforestation area. It takes around 35 minutes to get there.
From the jetty, trekking 25 minutes to the reforestation area. Here we can contribute by planting one tree or two. Our local non-government organization partner, the Friends of National Park (http://www.fnpf.org/what-we-do/tanjung-puting-national-park), will look after your trees.

You may find a congregation of proboscis monkeys sitting at branches of trees along the riverbank in the late afternoon. When it gets dark, Klotok will stop at the Nipah Palm area, this is a place to see fireflies, and boat parks at a riverbank. Dinner will be served on board. Free time in the evening. Stay overnight on board.

DAY 04 :

HOUSEBOAT – SEKONYER VILLAGE – KUMAI – BETANG LONGHOUSE– AIRPORT/HOTEL

After breakfast, Klotok will visit Sekonyer village to see the Malayan settlement’s way of living.
After visiting Sekonyer village klotok will be heading back to Kumai.
Lunch on the boat
Arrive at Pasir Panjang Village to see Rumah Betang.
You’ll be transferred to the airport. -Have a safe flight to your next destination!
